It was one of my friends' birthday yesterday, and he requested that we go see New Moon. (i hadn't planned on seeing it in theaters)

I've read the books (and still hate the plot and most of the characters)
and wasn't expecting much of the movie considering that New Moon was my least favorite of a series that i disliked as a whole. The movie exceeded my expectations, but not by much. (i was actually much more excited about a 'The Lightning Thief' preview, than about New Moon.)

The fight scenes were cool, i liked the designs for most of the characters, some parts were funny, and it was visually spectacular(it didn't hurt that there were several really hot guys running around shirtless half the time). However, they decided to stay true to the book, so it had the same fundamental plot faults, Bella being a stupid whore, and all the other bullshit.

In other news, i'll be leaving for my thanksgiving road trip in a couple of hours! (and still need to pack)

I'll be working as hard as I can to finish and submit my THAO round in on time (i'm working on 4 out of 18, right now)
